Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients across different age groups within the assigned unit.
• Coordinate and implement patient care plans to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and staff, to deliver comprehensive mental health services.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs and emergencies during night shifts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in compliance with organizational standards.
• Uphold patient rights and foster a respectful, caring environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• CPI or equivalent behavioral management certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and mental health treatment protocols.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and crisis management effectively.
• Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations.
