Full-time, nights (7 PM – 7 AM), 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a high-acuity environment.
- Coordinate and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs and age groups.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality care protocols.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and families to deliver compassionate care.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and patient crises.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or a Compact state.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of oncology nursing practices and patient safety standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as patient transfers and prolonged standing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in oncology or related units.
- Knowledge of neuro/ortho care is a plus.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification is optional.
