Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, nights (7 PM - 7 AM), travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum care, and neonatal health.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Demonstrate leadership by effectively managing clinical situations and delegating tasks appropriately.
- Ensure documentation of patient history, care activities, and treatment responses in compliance with policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only).
- Certification in Fetal Heart Monitoring (C-EFM) or equivalent from AWHONN or NCC.
- STABLE certification in neonatal care.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in labor and delivery or perinatal nursing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Perinatal RN residency or direct recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.
- Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and neonatal stabilization protocols.
