Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care during pre-operative, post-operative, and transfer of patient care in outpatient settings.
• Deliver patient-centered care for medical, oncology, surgical, and procedure patients, including emergency and inpatient cases.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes from neonate to geriatric populations.
• Ensure compliance with ASPAN and AORN standards of care during all phases of patient care.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac arrhythmias and emergency situations using critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain professional communication with patients, families, and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of an accredited RN program.
• Current BLS certification meeting American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
• Current ACLS certification meeting American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, renewed every two years.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of EKG interpretation.
• Experience with ambulatory and outpatient surgical care.
• Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
