Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care during pre-operative, post-operative, and transfer of patient care in outpatient settings.
- Deliver patient-centered care for medical, oncology, surgical, and procedure patients, including emergency and inpatient cases.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes from neonate to geriatric populations.
- Ensure compliance with ASPAN and AORN standards of care during all phases of patient care.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac arrhythmias and emergency situations using critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Successful completion of an accredited RN program.
- Current BLS certification meeting American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
- Current ACLS certification meeting American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, renewed every two years.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation.
- Experience with ambulatory and outpatient surgical care.
- Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
