Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night shifts (7-day maximum RTO; preference for candidates available through 1/10, 1/17, or 1/24 for holiday coverage)

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical and Stepdown units as needed, ensuring patient care continuity
• Provide safe and effective nursing care to inpatient oncology and medical-surgical populations in a secure corrections environment
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and interpret telemetry monitoring to identify and respond to patient needs
• Support complex patient diagnoses including active oncology treatments, postoperative care, and other medical conditions such as COPD, sepsis, and renal issues
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• EPIC electronic charting experience
• Prior experience in oncology or medical-surgical units preferred but not required
• Ability to manage telemetry and emergency response protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Oncology patient care experience with solid tumors and hematology procedures
• Experience with IV therapies including blood products, PICC lines, and hemodialysis support
• Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation and management, including use of telemetry systems
• Experience working in corrections healthcare settings
