Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients on the Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a trauma hospital.
• Conduct treatments primarily focused on stroke patients, ensuring patient recovery and progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including PT and SLP to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Document patient progress and treatment in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Participate in the weekly Saturday shift (4 hours) as scheduled on a rotating basis.
• Assist patients in activities that promote independence and improve functional abilities, utilizing a fully equipped OT gym and technology.

Required Qualifications

• Valid occupational therapy license in West Virginia.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as an occupational therapist.
• Ability to work weekday shifts with flexibility for occasional weekend hours.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital or trauma rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner.
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with a focus on patient outcomes.
