Key Responsibilities
- Provide adult ICU respiratory care, including airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Administer oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizers, BiPAP, and CPAP as needed.
- Utilize clinical equipment such as Hamilton G5 and Philips V60, ensuring proper operation and documentation within the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in general and adult intensive care settings to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Comply with infection control protocols, including COVID and flu vaccination policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana State Respiratory Therapist license in hand.
- BLS, ACLS, and NBRC RRT certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of in-person, adult ICU respiratory care experience.
- Graduated from an accredited COARC regionally approved program.
- Experience with airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, ABGs, and pulmonary therapies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in trauma, teaching hospital, or emergency room settings.
- Familiarity with bronchoscopy procedures.
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system.
- Experience with advanced respiratory equipment such as Hamilton G5 and Philips V60 ventilators.
