Schedule / Job Type
• 12-Hour Day Shifts, 36 hours/week, temporary assignment with 13-16 weeks preferred, full-time, onsite

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a high-acuity, mixed-unit setting including IMC, PCU, and Stepdown patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage ventilated patients, and perform IV starts.
• Administer medications and treatments such as Dosing of drips (Dopamine, Heparin), and manage chest tubes, CPAP, BiPAP, and tracheostomies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, charge nurses, and specialists to deliver quality patient care.
• Support patient respiratory needs, managing COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and COVID-19 cases.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, including no RTO after booking and limited call-offs to maintain staffing stability.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a high-acuity, telemetry, or step-down environment.
• Experience with IV starts, ventilators, telemetry, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Comfortable working with chronic trach/vent patients utilizing ventilators.
