Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations and peripheral cases.
- Monitor patients continuously for procedural stability and respond to emergent conditions.
- Administer medications and manage patient vasculature during procedures.
- Collaborate with a team of at least three healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call rotation approximately 6-7 times per month, including weekends every six weeks.
- Assist with procedures such as pericardiocentesis, temporary pacemaker placement, and STEMI activation.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care or catheterization lab experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with hospital electronic medical records systems such as EPIC and McKesson.
- Ability to float to other units/departments as needed; no floating outside designated departments.
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient monitoring protocols in a cardiac cath lab setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology (EP) unit.
- Familiarity with the use of Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
