Job Title
- Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Corpus Christi, TX
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel contract, night shift (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), rotating every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision
- Conduct patient assessments and implement respiratory care plans
- Perform technical procedures including airway management, ventilator management, and airway support device maintenance
- Administer aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy, analyze chest films, blood gases, EKGs, and monitor patient response
- Respond to emergency codes and participate in hospital surveys
- Document procedures accurately and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies
- May serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader, supporting clinical operations
- Advanced practice may include pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, and sleep studies
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management, aerosolized drug delivery, and emergency response
- Knowledge of advanced respiratory procedures such as pulmonary function testing and sleep studies
- Ability to function in a fast-paced hospital environment and lead shifts when necessary
