Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department.
• Manage trauma and non-trauma patients including stroke, STEMI, and neuro-trauma cases.
• Administer blood products, manage arterial and central lines, and perform phlebotomy and IV insertions.
• Conduct procedural sedation, interpret ABGs, and manage ventilatory support such as CPAP/BIPAP.
• Monitor neurotrauma patients including ICP, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Follow isolation protocols and emergency triage procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in emergency department settings, including trauma and pediatrics.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Ability to perform arterial line management, blood product administration, and IV starts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a STEMI, stroke, or neuro-trauma certified facility.
• Familiarity with interpretation of ABGs and neuro-monitoring.
• Prior work with trauma patients, including gunshot wounds, amputations, and drownings.
• Knowledge of infection control and isolation precautions.
