Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.
• Monitor patient cardiac and vital signs using advanced equipment such as Phillips cardiac monitors.
• Respond to patient needs promptly, including code 99, rapid response, fall protocols, and IV management.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Support a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and some progressive care patients.

Required Qualifications
• Active Vermont registered nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience from the past 2 years.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with progressive care units and short-term intermediate patient monitoring.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols including IV therapy, EKGs, and invasive monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a small, fast-paced unit.
