Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units
- Work between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units, adapting to patient needs and unit requirements
- Float between departments, ensuring optimal patient care and compliance with hospital protocols
- Assist in managing women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies effectively
- Maintain all required documentation and adhere to hospital standards and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery or Mother Baby experience
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and CPI (or MAB in lieu of CPI)
- NIH and AWHONN certifications preferred
- NRP certification required
- Comfortable working with diverse populations, including the prison population
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to float requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a prison or correctional healthcare environment
- Strong skills in patient assessment, emergency response, and interdisciplinary communication
