Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, ensuring safety and quality care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with provider’s orders, policies, and standards of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to CNA/Tech staff, ensuring accountability and proper patient support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, responses, and incidents, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, making sound clinical judgments while maintaining calm under pressure.
- Promote a positive, respectful environment that upholds patient rights and infection control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Diploma).
- Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions during shifts.
- Willingness to work both day and night shifts as needed.
- Must have an active Alaska nursing license at the time of submission and be able to provide proof of flu vaccination.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in acute care, emergency, or long-term care settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle emotional stress and work effectively with diverse patient populations.
