Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Perform pulmonary function testing, extubations, airway management, and ventilatory life support.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to interpret pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, and respiratory treatments.
• Educate patients on the use of respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases, and related therapies.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment used in treatments and testing.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in all respiratory care procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at the time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED, with successful completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Flu vaccine required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical ventilator management and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases accurately.
• Experience working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
