Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) environment.
• Circulate and assist with a variety of cardiac and vascular surgeries, including heart and neuro procedures.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.
• Participate in rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts, with holiday coverage as required.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Adapt to float requirements, including possible assignments to ambulatory campus, with flexibility in schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Vermont.
• BLS certification; CNOR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of circulating CVOR RN experience at a large, teaching hospital.
• Valid EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Solid clinical knowledge including ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro.
• Ability to work rotating call, weekends, and holidays, including a minimum of 2 of 4 major holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous scrub experience is a plus.
• Strong skills from similar-sized teaching facilities.
• Flexibility to float and work variable shifts as needed.
