13-week contract, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute patient care in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) setting.
- Monitor critically ill patients, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills.
- Administer medications, perform procedures such as intubations, central lines, and chest tube management.
- Document care accurately using Meditech charting system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, including badging in/out and meal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas RN license (active, without restrictions).
- Minimum of 2-3 years ICU experience, specifically in MICU/MSICU.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to work on rotating weekends and be punctual for shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech charting and order entry.
- Background in MICU or MSICU environments.
- Additional certifications relevant to critical care nursing.
