Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the nephrology specialty, following established standards and healthcare protocols.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, treatments, and education related to kidney health.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments, administer medications, and operate medical equipment as needed during procedures.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with all safety and safety protocols.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification compliant with the American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and safety precautions.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions from healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated ability to make quick, confident decisions in emergency situations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in nephrology or related fields.
- Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and treatment procedures specific to kidney care.
