Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, varying shifts (day, evening, night)
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with ANA standards and nursing process
• Act as a patient advocate, providing support, information, and direct care during surgical procedures
• Utilize medical equipment and technology skillfully and maintain technical competency in nursing procedures
• Educate patients and their families on significant self-care issues related to surgical care
• Assist with medication inventory, distribution, and delivery as needed
• Collaborate with specialty teams to support trauma and urgent/emergent procedures across various surgical disciplines
Required Qualifications
• Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Completion of AORN’s Periop 101 class upon hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous perioperative/nursing experience in an operating room setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic surgical environment
