Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric ICU patients with complex medical conditions.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and titrate cardiac and vasoactive medications.
• Administer and manage critical interventions such as ventilator support, arterial lines, central lines, and IV therapies.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including code blue responses and rapid response to patient deterioration.
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, isolation procedures, and PPE use.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Active SC license or multi-state license in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent ICU experience.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management.
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line care, and critical medication administration.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system (minimum 1 year).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing multi-system organ failure and complex diagnoses such as sepsis, stroke, or acute kidney injury.
• Ability to perform special procedures like bronchoscopy and ABG interpretation.
• Flexibility to float to other units or campuses as needed based on competency.
