- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic, spine, trauma, and special procedure patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, perform thorough assessments, and prioritize care needs effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system.
- Assist with procedures such as catheterizations, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and post-operative care.
- Support a busy, high-acuity unit with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee or equivalent state.
- Minimum of 1 year of Med-Surg nursing experience.
- BLS certification (ACLS optional).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
- Punctual, organized, and a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EKG interpretation and use of telemetry equipment.
- Familiarity with teletracking bed management systems and advanced medical equipment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced hospital environments.
- Experience working on orthopedic/spine units or trauma floors.
