Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Medical Surgical unit, utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay, developing and updating care plans in collaboration with patients and caregivers.
• Administer IV medications, IV therapy, blood products, and their components following clinical standards and organizational policies.
• Ensure patient safety through accurate monitoring and assessment, including the application of restraints and seclusion as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and demonstrate competency in restraint and seclusion procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with no recent actions or hits on background checks.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in restraint and seclusion protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or post-surgical setting.
