Registered Nurse - CVOR

Location: Burlington, VT

Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the CVOR department, including circulating and scrub duties.
• Assist with surgeries by preparing the operating room and ensuring proper functioning of equipment.
• Collaborate with the heart team and other surgical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Participate in call and weekend rotations, with flexibility to float to other facilities as needed.
• Support the team during major surgical procedures such as ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro.

Required Qualifications:

• Current BLS certification; CNOR preferred.
• Extensive experience in a large, teaching hospital setting.
• Circulating nurse experience required; scrub experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years, non-negotiable.
• Solid knowledge of surgical procedures including ortho, robotics, general, ENT, plastics, and neuro.
• Ability to work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day).
• Must have reliable transportation, as public transit is not available.
• Must explain all employment gaps over 90 days in work history.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a high-volume, teaching hospital environment.
• Ability to adapt to floating between multiple facilities.
• Strong skills in circulator and scrub roles in CVOR settings.
