- Full-time, 13-week contract, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients on a 13-week contract basis
- Monitor and support critically ill newborns, including administering medications and operating medical equipment such as Medfusion pumps, Alaris, and GE monitors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain a compassionate and friendly environment, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience
- Current BLS certification
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or eligible to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts and on-call hours as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience in NICU preferred
- Experience with common NICU procedures and neonatal ICU equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and outgoing personality, empathetic caregiver
