Job Title

- Highland Park, IL
Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, full-time, 12-hour evening shifts, flexible start times between 11 AM and 3 PM, approximately 36 hours per week, with occasional floating within service lines and locations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a cardio-focused hospital environment serving an elderly and medically complex patient population
- Deliver critical care and manage medically challenged patients, ensuring quality patient outcomes
- Pass an EKG test on the first day of assignment
- Adapt to floating requirements across designated facilities within the service line, including locations in Evanston, Glenbrook, and Skokie
- Follow all safety and compliance protocols relevant to emergency nursing
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois registered nurse license
- CPR and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke certification, PALS, TNCC, or TNS
- Minimum of 2 years ER experience in a high-acuity setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic electronic health record system experience
- Ability to work with an elderly and critically ill patient population
- Flexibility to work a limited number of days off (no more than 3) and occasional holidays, including one holiday and every other weekend
