Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location
• Salem, VA

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and implement treatment plans.
• Conduct IV placements, EKGs, and medication preparation/mixing in accordance with protocols.
• Utilize EMR systems for documentation and medication scanning to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with a team of RNs and healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday staffing, weekend rotations, and on-call requirements.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience.
• Independent IV insertion, EKG interpretation, and patient assessment skills.
• Experience working in emergency department settings preferred.
• Ability to independently mix pharmacy medications such as TPA and KCentra.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in a freestanding emergency department.
• Strong team player with outgoing and independent personality traits.
