Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care for patients scheduled for surgery
• Start IVs using Lidocaine and assist with admissions and procedures
• Float as needed to other units, with a focus on pre-op and post-op care
• Utilize hospital equipment such as EPIC for computerized charting and medication management
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure patient safety during the pre-op phase
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and hospital dress code (provided scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of Pre/Post Op nursing experience
• Ability to start IVs with Lidocaine

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with EPIC electronic health records
• Familiarity with inpatient surgical procedures and patient assessments
