Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac patients in the CVICU, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float between CCU and CVICU, demonstrating flexibility and strong cardiac expertise.
• Perform invasive procedures such as PA lines and transvenous pacing.
• Monitor and manage patients with mechanical circulatory support devices like IABP and Impella.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts, active at the time of application.
• Strong experience with PA lines, transvenous pacing, and cardiac patient care.
• CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications.
• Experience working in a cardiac ICU or surgical/medical cardiac unit.
• Ability to float between units as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP or Impella.
• Previous hospital experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with invasive cardiovascular procedures.

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted.
• Orientation occurs weekly every Monday, with scheduling to be discussed during interview.
• Guaranteed hours of 72 per biweekly cycle; this does not include on-call time.
• Parking may cost up to $43/day; please inquire for details.
• Candidates previously employed as perm or per diem at this facility within the past six months are ineligible.
