- Night shifts, full-time, temporary assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a 16-30 week travel assignment within the telemetry unit.
- Float and resource nurse coverage, including working in emergency hold and ED for designated patients.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and operate medical equipment such as IV pumps and bladder scanners.
- Support patient care needs across multiple telemetry units, adjusting schedule to meet unit and patient demands.
- Work a minimum of every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
- Complete documentation accurately in Epic EMR system, following facility protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse license or proof of application.
- BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred.
- NIHSS assessment required prior to start.
- Must have Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or float nurse experience.
- Experience in med-surg or telemetry units with a trauma level 2 facility.
- Additional certifications such as CMSRN are a plus.
