Key Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab, including cardiac implant closure devices, stent placements, and catheterizations.
• Set up and operate specialized equipment for cardiac procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and other emergent situations during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols, including isolation precautions.
• Support procedural teams during complex interventions such as PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and rotablader atherectomy.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing support as needed during off-hours and weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac catheterization lab.
• Active certification in ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS.
• Prior experience with Cerner charting system.
• Valid and active license to practice as a Cath Lab Tech in Illinois.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting, particularly within a Level I trauma center.
• Familiarity with adult and older adult patient populations in a hospital environment.
• Ability to perform equipment setup and recognize complex arrhythmias.
