Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 32 hours per week, primarily 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (schedule may fluctuate based on department needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation treatments to cancer patients following prescribed protocols
- Perform CT simulations and initial set-up of new treatment areas
- Assist physics staff to ensure accurate documentation of treatment records and dosimetric procedures
- Work directly with physicians during treatment delivery and simulation
- Schedule treatments to maintain smooth departmental workflow and ensure high-quality patient care
- Conduct radiographic and CT procedures to produce images for interpretation or as requested by licensed practitioners
- Exercise professional judgment and maintain a demeanor aligned with medical ethics
- Provide emotional and educational support to patients and their families
Required Qualifications
- Recent experience using an Elekta radiation therapy machine
- Certification from an accredited radiation therapy program
- Registered Radiation Therapist (RT(T)) or registry eligible with ARRT
- State license to practice radiation therapy in Iowa
- Basic understanding of cancer, radiation biology, and radiation safety and protection
- Ability to demonstrate or quickly learn these principles

- Demonstrated motivation and team-oriented attitude
- Experience working in a clinical radiation therapy setting
