Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to medical surgical patients based on scientific nursing principles.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Prepare, administer, and record medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes, reporting adverse reactions as per protocol.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, post-treatment care, and home management.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret electronic medical equipment displays, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform clinical tasks such as dressing changes, inserting catheters, starting IVs, and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond effectively to life-saving situations following established nursing protocols.
• Document all patient care accurately and concisely in electronic medical records.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education for ongoing care.
• Perform additional duties as required in the specific clinical setting.

Required Qualifications

• Wyoming RN license (or multi-state license).
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital setting, especially in a community hospital.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
