Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer nursing care, excluding Heparin drips, in a high-neuro population, with stroke certification being a plus.
- Monitor and recognize changes in patient conditions using clinical judgment, and report accordingly.
- Educate patients and their responsible persons with instructions regarding care and recovery.
- Document medical records thoroughly and accurately, ensuring compliance with standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neurological or stroke patient populations
- Certification in stroke care or neuro nursing (preferred but not required)
- Flexibility to accommodate work schedule needs, including some weekend coverage
