Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week contracts (options for 16-20 weeks and 18-week contracts), night shifts, on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the IMC, PCU, and stepdown units, including hematology and oncology cases
- Manage complex patient conditions with a targeted patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5-6 as needed
- Float to various units including advanced care, high-risk respiratory, and COVID support, as directed
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products, following radiology and hematology protocols
- Interpret EKG strips and provide emergency response during critical events
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, including proper use of PPE and fit testing for N95 masks
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio or eligible for licensure
- Minimum of 1.5 years of inpatient nursing experience in a similar acute care setting
- Oncology experience, Sickle Cell experience, and chemo certification strongly preferred
- EPIC electronic health record system experience
- Ability to pass online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting
- BLS and ACLS certifications, with proficiency in reading and interpreting strips
- Must have SD/PCU experience, as ICU experience does not count towards this at the facility
- Fit for N95 masks or PAPR as required for unit assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in level 1 or 2 trauma centers
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float across multiple units and work every other weekend and holiday
