Job Title
• Surgical Tech – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
• Rotating Shifts / Contract (16-32 weeks)

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in various surgical procedures, including trauma, orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies for operating rooms.
• Support patient safety and comfort during surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
• Adapt to rotating schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and infection control standards.

Required Qualifications
• Certified Surgical Tech with current certification.
• AHA BLS and NBSTSA qualifications required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
• Recent experience in large trauma Level 1 facilities within the past year.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Ability to work two out of four holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day).
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and call nights.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with diverse surgical specialties such as ortho, robotics, neuro, ENT, plastics, and general surgery.
• Familiarity with various EMRs and hospital bed count environments.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and OR procedures.

Additional Information
• Travel rates based on distance: $95 for 51-100 miles, $85 for less than 50 miles.
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Reliable transportation is essential; personal or rental vehicle recommended.
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April.
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions, next available on 11/03.
• No block schedules; candates must be flexible with work hours.
