Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients, including assessments, monitoring, and ongoing support.
- Assist with procedures such as C-sections, cerclages, inductions, versions, and baby catch.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately using hospital systems (CPN and Meditech).
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout labor and delivery processes.
- Follow hospital protocols and maintain compliance with all certifications and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nevada nursing license.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Intermediate AWHONN.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Ability to perform procedures such as C-sections, inductions, and versions.
- Proficiency in using hospital documentation systems (CPN and Meditech).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital setting with a 10+ bed L&D unit and 2 OR suites.
- Familiarity with hospital equipment and unit-specific procedures.
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week and handle weekend shifts.
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to floating to similar units if needed.
