Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a busy Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, ensuring seamless patient care across departments.
• Administer treatment to a diverse patient population, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 for critical cases and 1:3-4 for other patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive emergency services.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety and licensing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Valid Alabama or Compact State RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Must have a minimum of 18 months’ experience in emergency nursing or 1 year of relevant specialty experience under a professional license.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and SECURE on-site.
• Red Cross certification accepted in lieu of some certifications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a Level III trauma or stroke center.
• Ability to adapt quickly to float between different units and hospitals.
• Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
