Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Nights shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med Surg/Tele unit.
- Manage a diverse patient population including burns, reconstructive procedures, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
- Perform specialized procedures such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy.
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary support teams including respiratory, PT, social work, and pharmacy.
- Administer medications via Pyxis system and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio or the ability to obtain.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg/Tele experience handling similar patient types.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Experience in teaching hospitals considered an asset.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with burn care and complex surgical recovery.
- Ability to float within the organization as needed.
- Strong documentation skills and team collaboration.
