Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric and neonatal patients in a 30-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Manage patients with complex congenital heart defects, heart failure, transplants, dysrhythmias, and other critical conditions.
• Monitor and care for patients using intracardiac lines, ECMO, VAD, Impella, and intracardiac devices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff.
• Adhere to strict unit policies, including narcotic waste within 2 hours and safety protocols.
• Float within the ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU) as needed, with priority to ICU patients.

Required Qualifications

• Active AR or Compact license as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric CV, or adult CV nursing.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system and Pyxis medication system.
• Current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Negative nicotine test and flu vaccination (no exemptions).
• Must pass fit test (no facial hair unless for religious reasons).
• Must pass nicotine test.
• Prior travel nursing experience with at least one assignment completed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric CV and adult CV nursing.
• Knowledge of ECMO, VAD, and intracardiac lines.
• Flexibility to work holidays, including Christmas, New Year’s, and other key days.
• Willingness to work within a team and handle high-acuity patients.
