Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in labor, preterm labor, and postpartum settings.
- Attend all types of deliveries, including high-risk and low-risk cases.
- Administer blood products, medications, and manage specialized procedures such as blood administration, cardioversion, and Wound Vac.
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and warming/cooling blankets.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety in obstetric and gynecological procedures, as well as nursery and postpartum care.
- Float to Post-Partum and NICU units as needed based on skill set.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Washington or other qualified compact license.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Experience with obstetric patient diagnoses, including labor, preterm labor, and postpartum care.
- Ability to attend high-risk deliveries and specialized procedures.
- BLS and NRP certification preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with GYN surgeries and couplet care.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Ability to adapt to float assignments across postpartum and NICU units.
