Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, Contract for 13 weeks, 36 or 48 hours options, self-scheduling with nurse manager input, occasional float requirements, every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care to surgery patients, including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, and spine cases
• Perform IV starts and monitor patients using telemetry equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare team using SBAR and EPIC systems
• Follow unit protocols and procedures, including medication administration and patient safety standards
• Adhere to unit-specific policies, including scrub color (navy blue or white) and pass EKG testing prior to start
• Support unit operations, including occasional float duty and compliance with schedule and holiday coverage requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience, including recent medical-surgical or telemetry background
• Valid BLS certification
• Experience with IV start procedures and telemetry monitoring
• Able to pass EKG testing prior to employment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required, first-timer accepted
• Experience in surgical patient populations (colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics/spine)
• Ability to work independently and utilize self-scheduling preferences

• No RTO (Return to Office) after booking; additional RTO requests may lead to cancellation
• Willingness to work holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day), but not both EVE and DAY shifts on the same holiday
• Navy blue or white scrubs required, all candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start
