Physical Therapy Assistant Job Title: Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Pikesville, MD Schedule: Full-time, Days Job Type: Direct Patient Care We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support the delivery of evidence-based physical therapy services. Key Responsibilities: • Assist Physical Therapists with patient assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions • Conduct patient evaluations, including range of motion assessments, joint mobilizations, and functional testing • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient recovery and independence • Assist with patient education and training on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and lifestyle modifications • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care • Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing paperwork, and maintaining supply inventory Requirements: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field • Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or eligibility to obtain certification • Current licensure or certification as a PTA in the state of MD • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment • Basic life support certification (BLS) and ability to maintain certification We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth and development, and the satisfaction of making a positive impact on patients' lives.
