Schedule / Job Type
- Night shifts, full-time, 3x12-hour shifts, including weekdays and weekends as assigned
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to patients in a substance abuse treatment facility
- Monitor and document patient status using EMR system
- Perform clinical assessments such as CIWA and COWS, and conduct UAs as required
- Maintain firm yet empathetic boundaries with voluntary patients in a secure and supportive environment
- Collaborate with team members including technicians (BHA) and on-call staff to ensure quality patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols, dress code, and facility policies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Iowa
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant RN experience, preferably in psychiatric or inpatient settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior psychiatric nursing experience
- Experience working in substance abuse or mental health facilities
- Familiarity with HCS electronic medical records system
