Key Responsibilities
- Triage all emergency department patients, prioritizing care based on physical and psycho-social needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide continuous monitoring and reassessment, adjusting care as necessary to meet patient needs.
- Manage emergency situations and complications according to established policies and standards.
- Document detailed nursing histories, patient responses, and interventions accurately.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, health conditions, and discharge instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, renewed every two years.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, renewed every two years.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, renewed every two years.
- Valid Pediatric Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in emergency or acute care settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergencies professionally.
