Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care to adult and older adult patients in a 32-bed surgical unit.
- Monitor patients with trauma, trauma-related conditions, and those receiving acute medications such as Heparin drips.
- Administer and document medications, including ICU-level interventions as ordered.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for charting and documentation.
- Assist with special equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy tools.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Documented experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry settings.
- Experience with trauma patients and acute medication management.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior NICHE training or certification.
- Experience working with geriatric populations and specialty equipment.
