Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting.
- Assess patient health status and prepare them for surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments following approved protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and care quality.
- Document patient information, procedures, and care provided accurately.
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in perioperative or surgical nursing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in an operating room or surgical environment.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism.
