Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Bon Air, VA
Schedule / Job Type: Temporary, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide urgent and comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including technicians and paramedics, to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain proper patient ratios and adhere to safety and clinical protocols.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, efficiency, and effective communication during high-stress situations.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, PST, NCC certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
- Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS, ENPC, CPI certifications are preferred and will prioritize candidate consideration.
- Flexibility to float within the emergency department as needed.
- Outgoing personality with a hard-working attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
