Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across all ages.
  • Administer treatments, medications, and assessments in a fast-paced ER environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Comply with hospital protocols including the Pass/Fail EKG exam and specific certifications.
  • Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Support special care populations such as cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Experience with STEMI and Stroke patient care.
  • Ability to handle care for all ages, including special populations.
  • Knowledge of hospital specialties including cath lab, women’s health, and stroke care.
  • Willingness to work nights, including up to end-of-week and holiday coverage.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in a STEMI or Stroke center.
  • Prior experience caring for complex and special populations such as cancer and behavioral health patients.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shift needs and schedules.
