Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist with procedures such as IV placements, wound care, and airway management, including vent management and intubations.
- Utilize monitoring equipment like cardiac monitors, ventilators, and in-room monitoring devices effectively.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina or eligible to practice in NC.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- ICU or telemetry nursing experience with ICU training required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Previous telemetry or critical care nursing experience.
