Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shifts, 3x12s (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.), with holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiovascular intensive care to cardiac patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions in the electronic health record system.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and respond to emergencies within the unit.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina nursing license or Compact license.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent cardiac ICU experience.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
- Must be willing to float within scope to other similar units or sister facilities as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a high-acuity cardiac ICU setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
